 Yes - Duty Crew is registered with and affiliated to the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) which means that we have met high standards of quality assurance to be able to deliver First Aid Training which is recognised by the HSE, Department of Education and OFSTED.


Our registration also signifies that as a training provider we are regularly inspected to ensure that we  adhere to the required standards and can issue and provide you with a certificate relevant to your training. 


In essence, registration with FAIB provides assurance to employers and learners that the training provider is credible. 


 The EFAW qualification enables a first-aider to provide basic first aid in an emergency situation at work


The course covers a range of CPR and first aid skills, including how to handle unconscious casualties, control bleeding, and manage shock.


The EFAW course typically takes six hours to complete, which will be delivered in one day o


Yes, EFAW qualifications are regulated and meet the standards set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).


The EFAW certificate is valid for three years from the date of issue. 


  No prior knowledge of first aid is required to attend the EFAW course.


The EFAW is a one-day course focused on basic emergency first aid, while the FAW is a more comprehensive three-day course covering a wider range of first aid topics.

The cost of the EFAW course can vary depending on if you have booked a place on an open course or if you have booked the course to be be delivered 'on-site' at your place of work.

Yes, our EFAW course includes training on how to use an AED. 


 

  • Understanding the role and responsibilities of the First Aider
  • Assessing an emergency situation
  • First aid for a casualty who is unresponsive and breathing normally
  • First Aid for a casualty who is unresponsive and not breathing (use of AED)
  • Treatment for a casualty suffering from a seizure
  • First Aid for a choking casualty
  • First Aid treatment for external bleeding, including treatment of shock
  • First Aid to a casualty with bites, stings and minor injuries including burns


  • Comfortable Clothing: Wear clothes that allow you to move freely, as you'll be practicing various first aid techniques, including CPR.

  • Notebook and Pen: To take notes during the session.

  • Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is important, especially during a full-day course.

  • Lunch and Snacks: If the session is a full day, bring your own lunch and snacks.

  • Personal Identification: ID Required for registration purposes.
